PHY 2048 - Physics 1 with Calculus - Summer 2017

WileyPlus

To complete the online homework for this course, you need to purchase a WileyPLUS registration code. Please follow these instructions carefully or it could cost you a lot more money!

Starting this semester, WileyPLUS is integrated through Canvas. This means that self registration is no longer possible and is done automatically instead. It also means you MUST access WileyPLUS only through the Canvas e-learning link. Do NOT go directly to the WileyPLUS website.

To access WileyPLUS through Canvas, first select this course "PHY2048: Physics with Calculus 1, Summer A/C 2017". Then click on the "Modules" tab on the left bar, and then click on the "WileyPLUS Read Study& Practice" link listed under the WileyPLUS module:

You will need to accept the "Limited Use End User License Agreement" (click on the Accept button).

Please note that there are only two options to purchase a valid WileyPLUS registration code: you can buy it bundled with a hardcopy of the textbook through the UF Bookstore, or you can purchase it for online access only.

If you intend to purchase the WileyPlus registration code separately from the bookstore and only want the online text, follow this link to get the specially discounted UF pricing for an online registration code, otherwise you will pay much more money:

http://www.wiley.com/WileyCDA/Section/id-822622.html

You will then get the following screen, at which point you can enter your purchased registration code or choose the 14 day grace period initially. It's very important NOT to choose the second option below:

Do not click on the "purchase instant access to WileyPLUS", or you will pay a much higher price! (as you can see here.)

If you are unsure initially what to do, just register for the 14 day grace period before purchasing and entering a registration code and discuss with the instructors this procedure.

Once you are logged in you will get a message like the following:

You can then click on the "go to WileyPLUS" button or go back to Modules and click on the WileyPLUS.. button again. You should see a page like the following once you are in:

Look around at the other resources available there, including access to the homework assignments and to the electronic version of the textbook.

Do not delay logging-on/registering on the system. Not getting your homework in because you waited to the last minute and had trouble registering will not excuse you from the resulting zero on the homework assignment.
